The big news in our house is Kindergarten! Clara started kinder in Ms. Fletcher's class at Maplewood Elementary School about a month ago. So far she seems to be making good friends, learning to read, and getting excellent behavior reports. Her favorite special area is Coach Ellison's PE class but she also likes Music with Maestro. The after school routine includes a walk or bike ride home with the Hemlock crew, playing or swimming with neighborhood friends, piano practice, some reading/math/card games (Rat-a-tat-Cat is a household favorite), setting the table for dinner, and getting ready for bed at 7pm for a 6:30am wake up. We have this school thing down!
Marlo spends lots of time with me these days. Mondays include a park visit or playtime with Ariela (her bestie), Tuesdays are storytime at the library, Wednesdays are Melissa's while I'm a work, Thursdays we go to the JCC for Kim's Gym, and Fridays are free days. Marlo is a very active and curious toddler who loves to get into anything Rell and Clara do. Although she keeps us on our toes, she fills our lives with joy, laughter, and love. I can't wait to recover from this recent sinus surgery in time to enjoy the approaching cooler weather and holiday season with my girls. Fall is my favorite time of year for all things outdoors!
