Weeks 7 & 8

You had your first cold this week :( You have been such a champ, though... smiling at all the doctors, cooing and talking when you wake up, and not being bothered by the nasal aspirator. You have even been sleeping 5-6 hour stretches! Your pediatrician said you are one of the happiest babies she has seen at this age.
This week I have noticed huge strides in your development. You are more alert and aware of your surroundings. You key in on me and your dad all the time, and you have been making more purposeful movements. Plus, you can hold your head up for minutes at a time now! You are a pretty awesome baby, I must say.

Week 6

Some things you did during the 6th week of your life:

* smiled, cooed, and laughed at Uncle Michael for 20 minutes straight!

* went on many walks with your friend Olivia

* hung out with your Zada

* enjoyed many playdates your friends, Anis, Alexis, Rachel, Per, Emma, Stella, Phil, Misha, Kaz, Nick, Keri, Mia, and Izzy, Saleem, Beth, and Amaya (you are quite popular)

* learned about electronics with your dad

* ate hamburgers at the dinner table with Rell, Aunt Mandi, Anlo, daddy, Grandpa, and Grami

* ran lots of errands with your mommy

This week has been so fun (besides the lack of sleep bit). You are beginning to interact with people and with your environment. You recognize faces and can track objects and sounds. You lock eyes with me and your dad often and it melts our hearts. It's so exciting to watch you grow and learn. You also slept 5 hours for 2 nights in a row. Unfortunately, we have now gone 2 nights with some terrible sleep, but I'm hoping things get better again. I can't believe how big you are getting. I love this time so much and want things to slow down. So stop growing so fast, ok?!
