Clara Turns 6

Happy Birthday, Love Bug!

Clara almost 6!; Marlo almost 2!

The general consensus in social media seems to say good riddance to 2016.  I'm not so ready to see it go.  Our little clan has had a wonderful year full of family, fun, and friendship.  We've made trips to Dallas, Washington, Port Aransas, Lubbock, Santa Fe, and Vegas! We have enjoyed developing and deepening friendships. We have loved watching Marlo and Clara fall in love with each other. We have basked in the awe of Marlo's emerging personality and language, as well as Clara's emerging reading and thinking skills.  I feel extremely grateful for the wonderful life we are lucky to have. Here's to more greatness and standing up for what's right in 2017.

Clara loves playing Animal Crossings on the DS, reading, piano, Marlo, Rell, Lincoln, Oli, Maplewood Elementary School, the trampoline, her bike, building things, hiding, drawing and writing, running fast, leggings, cuddles, Lubbock and Dallas, S'mores, Plex, her diary, Legos, fort making, rope swings, and cats.

Marlo loves soccer, all things musical, gymnastics, making people laugh, running fast, "Chris-Chris lights," leaving the house for any reason, "daddy's fast car," food, her dino and duck paci, being naked (even in the winter), potties, trains, Daniel Tiger, singing, smiling, eskimo kisses, cowgirl boots, Annie, Cash, Tex, and life.
