Clara enjoys her first grade class with Mrs. Figg and is learning to read and write. She takes karate lessons, piano, and is about to start soccer. She loves to do anything on the monkey bars, build with legos, make and invent things, hang out with Oli, Lincoln, Rell, Jonathan, Traylyn, Pearl, Hidyl, and Lilly, build things with her dad, hike, read Harry Potter, and snuggle with her mom. At the moment, she aspires to be an engineer at NASA.
Marlo's 2nd year of life has been fun-filled. She is full of joy and awe of the world. She loves the trampoline, gymnastics class, Ariela, her sister and big cousin, snuggling in her big girl bed, nurturing her baby dolls, playing soccer, dribbling the basketball, playing pinball, "softing" her small stuffed animals, dogs, playing dress up, biking, visiting the library, reading books, walking Clara to school and pointing at all the beautiful leaves and clouds and rocks, Jonathan, making people laugh, and building things.
Our adventures this year included a trip to Galveston's Moody Gardens, Las Vegas, Dallas, Lubbock for Sarah's wedding, Rockport, Smithville, Bastrop, and Lost Pines (and in 2 days, Harry Potter World!). Andrew has been busy designing and building a garage/workshop in the backyard that has 2 working pinball machines. He also rediscovered his love for fantasy board games and painting game characters- quite impressive! I have been busy working with Yarrow & TRUE Action, and starting a MakerSpace at Maplewood (Clara's school).
I feel extremely lucky in love and in life.
