10 Months

You have hit a major developmental milestone this week!

Some words and phrases you say: ball, mommm, dada, water, moon, apple, duck, banana, bird, wind, where it go?, thereitis, book, bath, fan.

Some fun baby tricks: you can find your belly button, head, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, hands, feet, shoes. You point to the sky when you hear an airplane. You use sign language for all done, hungry, more, want, and up. You throw the ball when we ask for it. You dance when you hear music. You hand me books and crawl into my lap. You make a popping sound when you hear the word fish. You give kisses and cuddles. Sniff the air when you see a flower. You kick your soccer ball. You take 4 steps unassisted. You clap when I say 'yay.

Some things you like: all things balls, chairs, swiss chard and cod, hide and seek games, books, the outside world, stairs, Band of Horses, the piano and ukulele, new places

To sum up, YOU ARE AWESOME!

FALL FUN

Some exciting activities this season:

* Pumpkin Patch time with Olivia
* Duhan Family visit and the Texas Book Festival
* The neighborhood Halloween parade
* Dinner parties and hanging out with friends
* Sabine and Zarrin's 1 year Bday parties
* Bicycling around Mimi's house
* Walking and Running in the rain and colder temps

Some exciting developments:
* throwing a ball (and even catching)
* WALKING (you took several steps without holding on)
* pushing Rell in the stroller.. all by yourself
* playing games
* imitating animal sounds (chickens and dogs)

This is my absolute favorite age. You interact, play and understand so much. I love so many things about you: the way you work and work to figure things out, your smile as to amuse us, the excitement you display when you find a ball or a Mum-Mum, your cuddles and kisses, your friendly nature- you smile at everyone- especially grandpa and strangers, the way you say hi, wanting to play the second you wake up, when you lay your head on my shoulder before bedtime, and your tiny little body- I could just squeeze and love on you all day.
