I have tried to finish this post for a week now and am holding Marlo as I type one handed. So, this will be short and sweet in an attempt to at least get something down!
Marlo: gurgles (spit and all) at us when I ask her if she wants to talk to me, sings along to music, very interested in the world around her, grunts when she's frustrated at not being able to manipulate a toy the way she wants, only wakes once a night to eat, reflux less severe, always wakes up with a smile, continues to brighten my world
Clara: when did she become an 8 year old?? she is mature, an excellent, loving, and helpful big sister, excels in her vocabulary use for her age, likes reading comic books, hitting her stride after a difficult year of loss and changes, seems happy and at peace, is a good friend (had her first school friend over to play this week), is learning and liking the piano (already knows more than i do), beginning to write and sound out words, creates elaborate stories and even makes them into books, told me she likes reading about mischief but doesn't like doing mischief, and also brightens my world. i know Mimi would love and adore my beautiful girls. Each day I thank my lucky stars for them.
