Clara 5 years old!; Marlo 9-11 months

Clara. You are a smart, problem-solving, innovative, FUNNY, curious, sweet, strong-willed, friendly 5 year old.  I am amazed each day by the things you can do and the kid you're becoming.  You continue to sound out words and can read simple sentences.  You love chapter books. You're keeping at the piano and love running free with your neighborhood friends in the afternoon. There are no words to express how much I love you.

C: I have something I want to tell you, mom, but I've been afraid to.
Me: Go ahead. You can tell me anything.
C: Well, I love you but I love dad just a little more.

Marlo.  You are a funny, sweet, busy, curious, smart little baby.  I am also amazed at how fast you learn!  You are walking and saying a few words: mama, dada, tankyou, thereitis, puhpuh (paci), uh-oh (in the cutest voice imaginable), ca-a (for clara). You are an excellent imitator, you like to play with blocks and can sit for an incredibly long time figuring out how to take caps off and on things. You are quite dexterous.  You started walking at 10 months and haven't turned back. Your smile brightens my world.

I feel so lucky to have such wonderful children and husband, supportive and interesting friends, and a beautiful home in a sweet little spot in Austin. My heart is full of gratitude.
